BACKGROUND
In response to the growing concern about substandard pharmaceutical products and medical devices, the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) mandated stringent traceability measures to achieve supply chain visibility and strengthen its pharmacovigilance activities. `Daily Needs, a prominent pharmaceutical manufacturer, in response to this, recognised the need to enhance its supply chain capabilities to comply with regulations and safeguard its brand reputation.
APPROACH
Sproxil carried out a thorough needs assessment to understand the challenges of the pharmaceutical industry supply chain and the specific requirements of Daily Needs. Following this assessment, Sproxil traceability solution was deployed. Rigorous, training, and monitoring were done to ensure the success of the pilot.
OUTCOME
Project Completed
Sproxil successfully tracked forty-six thousand (46,000) units of Daily Needs’ Uniplex Cough Syrup through the supply chain.
Goal Accomplished
The products’ route was visually mapped and monitored in real-time using the Sproxil Informer platform.
Products were successfully tracked from factory to major distributor – World Wide Commercial Ventures Limited (WWCVL), to sub-distributors/wholesalers (New Height), to the retailer (Elpha Pharmacy), nd down to the consumer.
